Directional boring, also known more commonly as horizontal directional drilling or HDD for short, is a solution for installing various services underground such as utilities and pipelines. We follow a predetermined path from the surface with minimal impact to the surrounding ground and environment.
Our Drills and equipment allow us to provide these services in the most rural, remote areas and congested and populated cities through various ground conditions ranging from hard rock and pit run to clay and sand.
Some of the reasons that Directional Boring is a better alternative to other methods is:
- Lower cost
- Deeper and longer installation is possible.
- Shorter completion times
- Directional Capabilities
- Less traffic disruption
- And Safer for the environment.
All equipment used are Vermeer Horizontal Directional Drills. Available sizes are 36×50, 80×100 and 100×140.
